Battlefield 3 Ocuk hardware packages/push?

This game could potentially get me back in to PC gaming (after many years out). Are OcUK planning any kind of multiple tier gaming packages ready for it, nearer the time of course? I'm a bit out of the loop regarding hardware these days so something like this would be very helpful.

Perhaps I'm asking too early, but would be interested to know.

I think they only do it for highly anticipated games like WoW: Cataclysm and Crysis: 2, so i imagine so.

BF3 looks like it will be a system killer if someone doesn't have a relatively new build.

Could be a massive push for OcUK. Decent prebuilt & OCd machines and a free copy of BF3 :cool:

Yup. I was planning on waiting for LGA2011, but BF3 takes priority!

Are we expecting BF3 to require much more than BC2 does then? Haven't seen any req. but thought it was an evolution of the engine rather than a rebuild.

Looking at the gameplay videos, it looks pretty full on.

You don't need much to push graphics card if your engine is scalable. More textures, more shaders, more particles, more tesselation, more everything. It already has dynamic shadows and advanced lighting (deferred shading?). Hopefully less bloom

Looks like it's gonna hit processors hard as well with all that physics.

The key point is 'scalable'.

So it should scale down as well as up.

Frostbite2.0 engine is being added with PhysX on Nvidia cards so the CPU wont be taking a hammering if you have the right specs.

I just upgraded from an e6300 with a 5770 to an e8600 with a 6950 for this. Confident it'll do the trick.

Surely they will build a BF3 capable tower & use BF3 to grab any extra sales, If they don't then someone needs a kick up the ****.

I doubt you will need a top of the range graphics card to play. I have a good feeling my GTX 460 will run it fine, maybe not with 16AA but I'm honestly not bothered about that. As long as I can run it on almost maximum settings then I'm happy, luckily the i5 2500k is awesome for gaming and gives my system that extra boost with intensive games.

Don't worry there will be a full BF3 range of gaming systems and OC bundles with a few GFX bundles also.

Many many BF3 related packages to come!
