I have been detailing for 3 years now and wouldnt call it OCD. Just knowing that you can achieve great results with some time and effort and the reward afterwards is great.I'm normally of the opinion all this detailing malarky is a bit OCD - but then I guess I've just never had a nice enough car to warrant it. All I can say about what you've achieved on that car (compared to what it looked like before) though, is WOW!! Looks awesome! I'd be interested to know how much that costs if you aren't mates with a detailer for when I do have a nice enough car.
The tyres are dressed, my aim was for a clean matt finish.Nice work but all that and no tyre trim?
Overclocking makes a PC faster (better) than others.
Tuning makes a car faster (better) than others.
Detailing makes a car cleaner (better) than others.
^Very simply put. You are seeing faster as 'better' but not cleaner as 'better'. Some people want the fastest car, others want the cleanest and best condition.

Have a read here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gratificationits not like overclocking or tuning.
overclocking makes a system measurably faster, be that time or benchmark. engine tuning can make bigger numbers on a dyno or simply outdrag the next car.
how does "detailing" (valeting) get catagorised with those? thats a genuine question, im clearly not shy about being into cleaning a car (i admitted to spending hours doing it in this thread) so im not knocking what you do

Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel.What product? You didn't mention it in your wheel cleaning section.
"Wheels were soaked in Bilberry Wheel Cleaner. The Arches were also soaked in CG Degreaser and All Purpose Cleaner worked in with the PB Brush."
Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel.
Apply very small amount to a applicator pad and spread evenly over the whel wheel. Then give it a wipe over with a microfibre (old one will do).
Your welcome.Ah right, thanks. Didn't realise that was suitable for tyres also.
Just been reading your Leon thread. That G-techniq C4 looks fantastic, but £25 per bottle....
