Travel money to egypt - fanstastic rate with tesco

Hi guys,

so I searched here: http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/holiday-money/
for travel money for us for our trip this week to egypt.
Previously we've gotten quotes of 8.7EGP to £1 and for whatever reason today tesco popped up to the top of the list and offered us 9.49 to £1.

So to anyone travelling to egypt soon, get yourself online before you try the highstreet!

I once got the best rate ever. The market rate was about 9.8 to 1, and I found somewhere in Egypt buying and selling at 10 to 1!

mehh, just used that moneysavingexpert tool for a quote for dollars.

Top seller on there is giving a great rate but won't deliver to my office. Nobody is home during the week and paying £6.95 for Saturday Special is negating the good rate. Plus the postie never knocks on our door, just the main house door and they never answer either.

Im off to Tunisia very shortly

I have a good bunch of friends just returned from Egypt, that has said it was a great family holiday.

Anyone know if i can get a better rate in Tunisa with Sterling or i was thinking of taking some $US

I've given up exchanging currency now. You can always find better deals, even in the US.

Was in Egypt in Feb during the "trouble" and was fine, looking forward to going back in August.
