Hi,
Yes yes, i know that there's like ten of these ATM but i've read through them and my needs are pretty specific.

I am in need of a new gaming keyboard as this ****ing microsoft wireless 6000 is dying. the bloody vowels are slowly dying. Anyways, i thought it was time to splash out a bit and get a decent keyboard. My budget is around £100ish but can go over. It really depends how much i spend on my watercooling loop.

My needs:
multicoloured backlighting
loads of programmable keys
a screen

I play a lot of FSX and i've always wanted something to display my altitude, heading, speed etc.
I also like FPS and have just started getting into them.
I am currently torn between the saiteks and logitech G19.

What are the pros and cons of those and what others would you recommend. Any other good ones from razer/microsoft etc?

PS, everything around me seems to break so a company with good CS would be nice but not necessary.

Thanks

Steelseries Merc Stealth, Very nice if you are playing FPS's , MMO's or pretty much anything to be honest, I have had mine for about a year and a half, and prefer it to the G19 I tried upgrading to (now sold). Very nice keyboard for doing work on word, as there is a section that is the same as any other keyboard, and then there is the section on the left, with all fully customisable keys, dedicated QWEASD, lctrl, lshift, lalt, tab, Caps, C, B, V, F, G, T, R, F, P, Space, quick save, prt scr, quick load, numbers 1-11 (1-9 then 10 as 0 and 11 as -) aswell as media buttons such as volume up/down, play/pause, stop, skip forward/back and hotkey I, II and III for webpages. Not forgetting the one the opens the Z-board software, which is pretty nice for setting up macros or key mapping (comes with the keyboard).

Only thing is, it doesn't have a screen, but the way I see it... it's a keyboard, do you really need to know who is talking on vent that badly you can't alt+tab? :P

Will definitely add to the shortlist. Thanks.
The screen is mainly for displaying info for thongs like flight sim. Something i have always wanted. However that keyboard is great.

G510 or the G19 would be my choices... Logitech's customer service is literally second to none! seriously, just click 'buy now' lol

Translation, hideous....

Nah... It looks mean and 'ard

Looks like it could do Chuck Norris with one punch! (if it had the required appendages with which to punch with...)

That aside, in my own oppinion I do think the G510 looks better than the G19... it's more slimline and less showy (and not far off half the price...)
