I know this is really random.. but I have just redecorated my room and now I am looking for relatively cheap bedding and curtains/blinds. However, everywhere I look they seem to cost an absolute arm and a leg! I have a double bed.. and my window is around 1.78m x 1.2m.

All I am looking for is a single colour bedding set in brown and the same sort of thing with the blind/curtains.. can only seem to find ones with crazy prices though! lol

Primark, I bought a cotton double fitted sheet for £7. They had sets which start at £10. Supermarkets are also cheap for bedding, IKEA is so so. Good for pillows/duvets but sheets are a little more expensive.
I'm of the view that if it's cotton then it'll be fine, not up for spending a fortune on some super duper fancy Egyptian stuff.

I know! I looked at M&S and John Lewis and they sell everything seperately.. by the time I had added the stuff I needed (Pillowcases, valance, sheets, duvet etc) it came to £81! I nearly fell off my chair!

Wow.. Tesco are so smart.. I literally LOL'd at this on the description of one of their bed sets..

"When you need to wash the duvet cover and 2 pillowcase, you can put them in your washing machine and tumble dryer."

^^ Hmm really? :D

They're both quite expensive shops generally, and if you're doing things on a budget I'm pretty sure you can scrap the valance

+1 for Dunelm Mill - only place that had blinds long enough for our windows too! :)

Not massively expensive either, but don't expect poundland!
