Has anyone had a poke around in one of these?

Looks like an interesting alternative to 1 series/A3, although quite expensive.

I'm still sending car recommendations my mums way, and like most people being hung up over mpgeez, she'll probably like the sound of a hybrid.

Possibly a bit dull looking though.. What's the general consensus on lexus's here?

I considered contract hiring one of these, but they are quite expensive to CH.

I might wait till they come down and get one fully loaded, being a Hybrid it'll be very kind on tax for us!

But I think they look great, yet to drive one though.

that interior is awful

Yeah I agree:/ The centre console... Just a big slab covered in buttons. It couldn't be any less 'designed'. Theres a dial to change between sport and eco modes coupled with a digital dash which changes colour/information (rev counter verses efficiency meter) depending on what mode you're in. That's pretty cool:)

Don't. Very old and dated feeling inside to boot. A conventional petrol or diesel from the competitors is a much better bet :)

I guess if you can put up with the lifeless drive and complete lack of any character or charm whatsoever then it might be worth considering, especially with the free tax and relatively sensible economy (it should average about 45-50mpg without too much trouble).

You have to put up with a CVT transmission as well.

GAME OVER MAN. GAME OVER.

It is an Auris HSD underneath the skin, basically, so that's another good reason to look elsewhere - I wouldn't consider it an alternative (well, unless you wanted a cheaper version).

Reviews for it a pretty poor - Lexus CT reviews

Main complaint seems to be the ride, can it really be that difficult to get it right? Real life mpg figures don't seem to be as good as they do (usually story though really).

I saw it at the Geneva motorshow and have to admit that the interior is very smart, can't say the same for the outside though, bit bland imho.
