March in London on the 26th?

If there was such an uprising today I doubt very much the military would be opposing to it. If the whole population saw it fit for a revolution I'm sure the military would be in support, after all we are also free thinking citizens of the same country as yourself. Fortunately the majority of our society (and servicemen) don't share in this silly anarchistic stance. The majority of our citizens accept that this country aint a half bad place to live when compared to the rest of the world, despite a few short falls in economic policy.

Your hypothetical fantasies of mass uprisings and the military turning on it's own citizens are just that; fantasy.

You completely missed several of my points, purposefully or through ignorance I'm not sure which.

It will never get that far, because they do deal with localised problems first.

I have not fantasied mass uprisings, nor have I said the military would turn on the populace with physical intent.

I am merely relaying fact that the institution is more than happy to oppress its own population as has been evidenced, and would more than likely be happy to again.

I've noticed that you don't like any criticism of your employer under any circumstance either, regardless how valid, delicately or succinctly put.

Can I say one thing - Don't take reality as a slur. Soldiers are citizens of course we all are, but they follow orders and they are tied to the state institution and establishment. If a communist revolution was to take place tomorrow, our armed services would not immediately support it that is for sure.

After numerous posts of paranoid sensationalist BS Biohazard, all I see is this one word ^.

It is all just that; hypothetical. None of it will actually happen again.

Paranoid sensationalist BS? So Red Clydeside protest and potential uprising didn't happen then no?

There is nothing wrong with hypothetical supposition when you are having a discussion with someone as an off topic from that.

What is your problem?

If it won't happen, why was the population suppressed in the past then?

Oh noes, I better shut up with the 'BS sensationalist' facts. Huh?

Anyone else amused that "BioHazard" is locking horns with "Captain Planet" and vice-versa? In a completely superficial sense I mean. :)

I don't see the problem to be fair, it isn't even a critisism.

I'm only describing that specific use or function of the armed forces.

"But when we got out, they began arresting us. People in the crowd told a second female officer: 'You've lied to us. You said we could leave and now you're arresting everyone.' She replied: 'Yes, you're free to leave – to the police station. You're going to be arrested.'"

As serious as this is, raising yet more questions about the Met's tactics and motivation, I had to chuckle at this. It sounds like something Sheriff John Bunnell would say :p

Give that lady a promotion! :D

To be honest that isn't a good way for the police to conduct themself in light of continued protests.
149 people commit a crime, 149 people are arrested on suspicion of committing that crime.

Absolutely fantastic policing.

The WPC in question was quoting as stating the protestors would be led to "safety"; there is nothing unsafe about policy custody :D

Sounds like perfect negotiation tactics, get them to leave the area they can cause damage in and arrest them there safely.
