can't get in stable in IBT...freezes the whole pc up in about 10 seconds of running it.

ive tried putting the ram down to 800mghz, same thing happens (or worse, i got a bluescreen?)

trying to get memtest running but the system's really dodgy at the moment...

tried putting vcore up to 1.25, nothing changed,

am i missing something here? any help FAST please? :(

What timings and voltage is the RAM said to run at?

Try setting the timings to exactly what they are supposed to run at. And check that the voltage is correct too.

i think i figured it out...got memtest up and running and on one of the sticks the errors are literally streaming down the screen throughout the whole test,

ive tried a different motherboard slot so it must be the ram, i've set them at their normal speeds and also underclocked them, but the same one keeps failing,

if i RMA it do i have to send both sticks back as they were in a pair? it means ill have to tear the system out because i have no more ddr3 ram :P

edit: its still doing it, even with the stick that passes memtest....exact same problem...god this is annoying

Hmmm, well if you've taken out the stick you think is faulty and the problem is still occurring, it could be something else. What motherboard are u using? Is the bios up to date?

bios is upto date, mobo is the msi p67a gd55 b3 revision...

just had a lockup in windows, ive tried downclocking processor aswell, same problem, everytime it freezes it's just a complete hardlock, (1 out of 10 was a bsod),

is there nothing i can do with the voltages? maybe its the mobo :(

i seem to be fine in benchmarks, but as soon as i open a game or anything up it does exactly the same in about 2 minutes of playing ... its not even a bsod, it's just a hard lock with static coming through my headphones. only way to get rid is to fully reboot the computer .... i really can't cure this problem by changing the voltages, and i dont know what it could be now? :S

i feel like im in the right mind to return all of it...there's obviously something wrong, and with the ram...the 2 minutes of use i get from it are great but what good is that
