Im confused... Do you still only have to pay £215 regardless of how big the engine is or how much it kills the world as long as its registered before March 2001? (Something like an M5 maybe?)
Or if your 3.5 litre twin carb Range Rover (15mpg on a good day) was regisiterd before 1973 you pay no road tax whatsoever

£215 because its over 1500cc, could be worse though, if it was new it would be £400+ ^^
Only for the first year, then it falls to £460.
On brand new cars, does the dealer not usually provide the first years tax?

It went up by 5% odd to cover inflation. So technically the price is the same.
