Bank teller implied I was a coke dealer

My comment has context by way of replying to the quote that is in the same post.
That's kinda obvious I would have thought.

What I was getting at (sigh) was that you referenced going ott, without referring to what specific action you considered ott. Having it out with the teller? Asking to speak to the manager? What? So no, your comment does not have context by way of replying to a quote, since the quote you referenced contained no proposed action.

Once again, if you are referring to contacting a manager, then you're just another pushover brit, happy to receive a stinking service and turn the other cheek.

And have you figured out the part about paying for a service yet? 'What are you on about' was as far as you got so far I think.

What? Read the quote that is in my post, the person says what they would do, to which i say is ott.

I can't be assed with the other part of your argument as like I said, what was requested was done. That's all that matters in this situation.

You can't be arsed because you don't understand it. Bank customers pay for a service by depositing their cash with the bank, thereby allowing the bank to make money from that cash. One does not expect to be accused of being on drugs by some jumped up admin clerk.

So no, the fact that what was requested was done is not all that matters in this situation. If you went to a restaurant and ordered duck, receiving duck with a side order of verbal abuse would not see you going home a happy customer.

'Oh hang on, I got my duck so it's all fine!'

That is completely different and that's not what I'm saying either.
Have you learned to read yet? Have you realised that I quoted something that had actions in?

I know how a bank makes money from me, but thanks for the lesson.
Still not sure what on earth you are going on about though, as you are off with the fairies it seems.

essentially. you're saying that it's not out of the ordinary that this should happen, not really worth complaining about and you would continue to let them bank your money? you'd have no problem going in there again and have no issue should it happen again as it's not worth making a song and dance over the situation. fair enough, each to their own but if you don't feel that this is an issue worth complaining about or out of the ordinary, i'd be interested to know what you think would be?

Yep :D. Not in the post of mine that you quoted but I see what you were trying to refer to now, yes.

I still think you and the British public in general are far too willing to roll over and die in this situation. You've paid for a service, which should include more than just the physical action of receiving your cash. It should include friendly professionalism. But hey, Morba's paid in his £3k, so if he also gets accused of being a druggie, so what!

No, learn to read. I never said not to complain.

Good good :) :p

I wouldn't be surprised if they've reported you to the police under the Proceeds of Crime Act. You're probably being investigated right now. (well not right now as it's midnight but your details are probably in a queue).

I wouldn't worry about it if you are a coke dealer though. The police are typically useless so don't get too paranoid mate.

Was anybody else reminded of the first episode of Spaced.

Tim: So, what you looking for?
Daisy: What you got?
Tim: What?
Daisy: What you got?
Tim: No, I mean what are you looking for in the newspaper?
Daisy: Oh! I thought you were a drug dealer.
Tim: Thanks.

Last time, I replied "That's my business, it's my money and I'll spend it as I see fit."

What a nice chap you are.

i wouldn't have accepted it. i'd have called a manager over, caused a scene and got him to check the cctv for proof. once proven, i'd have made it quite clear i was willing to take it all the way to the top. this would be major bad publicity for a bank, especially under the current feeling from a lot of the public to the banks. i'd have been looking for a compensation settlement no doubt.

Yeah, right :p

OP: Just laugh it off. That is all.

It's hardly come across as idle conversation each time, and I know they are trained to ask questions, so I very much doubt that they are offended. ;) I do answer with that reply in a light-hearted manner for the record. Funny thing is, once I told them it was for a car, when it was actually for something completely different, so I don't know what they think they are achieving as people just lie anyway.

I just object to people prying into my personal business.

I think you're all missing the point - the OP had a big wad of cash

The cynic in me says the entire story is fabricated and instead the OP wants to make a big deposit at the Bank of Attention.

I would be, his account may be flagged internally but that would mean he had been doing it for a long time, it takes bit more than a large cash deposit for a bank to report someone to the police. Especially seeing as it's not uncommon for people to do just that, I've had someone pull £15,000 out of their coat pockets to pay in.
