price is not the issue
i had the asrock fatality but got a refund due to no B3 in stock
now i need a board..im a fan of EVGA but none out at the moment:mad:
do i wait until they come out ?
opinions please:)

I am waiting for Evga to release their board before choosing mine.

It should be mid April i believe.

If i had to pick now i would go for:

1. Giga UD7 ( if i had the cash)
2. Giga UD4
3. MSI GD-65

UD7 looks cool
ASUS Max?

P67A-UD7 all the way, great power regulation, good components. NF200 chip for (TRI) SLI, Tri-fire...
Good onboard sound, USB 3 etc.
Very efficient board, good overclocker, table bios releases.... Need I say More...
Oh and I have one.... And love it.

I'm gonna say the Asrock P67 Extreme 6 cos I has one, IMO a lot of board for your money and solid as a rock (no pun intended) none of the issue that some other boards have. Overclocking is painless even with a limited multi like my 2400 i5.

But of course the MSI and Giga boards are worth a look, but I would not touch Asus just now.

Also just read you had the Asrock Fatality, why not go for the Extreme 6 same board 30 quid cheaper minus the crazy 1000hz mouse port and wonderful colour scheme, other than this same board totaly?

Ud4 seems to be the best for price to performance ! ud5 is 50 pounds more for abit of metal and a few more phases/lanes not really worth doing if u have a single gpu!

can you give us some comparisons when you get it against the fat1ality you used to own, if you can squeeze anymore out ur chp or run at less volts. you know that kind of thing.

10 mins to late pulled fire on the Asus
lets hope its ok :)

We have one at home and you will really enjoy it. But for benching or out and out performance the UD7 is without peer.

M4E is easier to set up compared to the UD7 but once the UD7 is tuned in...:D

I have the MaxIV and I cannot fault it. The 24 Phase on the UD7 is just marketing and serves no purpose on P67. Voltage regulation is far better on the Max. The NF200 switches off when you don't need. Better BIOS, runs very cool. Looks the dogs nuts. What is there not to like? Price but then the OP doesn't mind.
