About to finaly start the mods to my Lian Li A05N. Nothing huge, just some nicely located cable pass through holes to make the setup look totaly seamless which is easyer said than done!

Should i strip the whole thing down to the bear number of parts for coating?

1/8'' (3mm) drill bit will do it fine wont it?

if u got the time and tools to take apart and put together then do that, i done mine without and in hindsight wish i had taken it apart

there isnt many pieces to the a05n so taking it appart wouldnt be to hard have you considered anodizing instead its a tougher finnish and its a lot thinner making it easier to put back together

I've both options to hand and it's only costing me £15 as i've a few freinds in the trade. I'm just thinking powdercoat would be better overall.

There is very little to the case, lots less to it now as i won't be using so much of it so have made some big reductions to it

I'm currently doing the same thing to my old Lian-Li PC1200. I've drilled out the rivets, it wasn't difficult - the only problem I'm having is finding the flat topped counter-sunk rivets for when I want to put it back together.

£15 for powder coating? Bargain. The place I found in South East London that does it is charging me minimum of £80 (base cost) to do my motherboard tray, case divider and hard drive rack sides, and that's just in gloss white, no fancy metalic colour.

Loads of places do the rivets, I found 10+ sites in 2 seconds with Google. SOme PC shops etc.

Yeah friends in high places, one other place wanted £35. Shop around to get the best deal.
