Not really, they are probably one of the best sports cars on the planet.

Thanks for sharing that with us, is that one of those random made up job titles companies give out? :p

I agree and were discussing this in the office, amazing cars and ill defiantly take one for a test drive but would I want to own one and drive it through town with the roof down .... no :o

Ha ha I didn’t mean to do that, I simply copied it into a blank email to check for any spelling mistakes ;) OWNED :D

mate, you owned a puma...by definition the most girly car every produced!

I know it was an FRP but who cares :p Would much rather be seen in a a Boxster-S than an FRP

In my eyes there is no competition, to me they are the best on this planet. I've gone on record stating that the brand new 05 plate 3.2 Boxster S, is the best car I have driven, ever.

Need to wangle a drive in a newer one at some point. Hmmmmm.

For a 'sports car' by definition it needs to be good at things like instant acceleration, handling and cornering. The Lotus wins this as it's lightweight nature, perfect handling and minimalist spec keeps it a focussed car.

The Boxster is probably the best 'luxury sports car' on the planet. The sort that you could commute in for hours on end with creature comforts, or simply take on a track or some B-Roads.

Lotus is for the more hardcore out there without stepping into Atom/Caterfield territory. Plus they're cheaper than the Boxster too!

Exiges are within my price range but do i really want to go down that route again ...

Just enquired with BMW about a test drive in a 135i and a Z4M Coupe :)

ok, perhaps Toms comment wasn't bizarre afterall:p You would seriously rather have a Ford Puma than a Boxster?:o

God no ... But at the time i loved the R Puma and didnt think it was girly ... To straighten the record id far rather a Boxster than a Ford Puma ;)

Err so? I didn't say it was *the* best, i said it was 'one of the best'.

I also dont think 'instant acceleration' has ever been on the required attributes sheet for a sports car.

Its a Z4M coupe, ive been reading reviews this afternoon and it didnt get very good press. Seems your better off spending less and getting the ragtop. Problem is i dont want a convertible :p

Easy tiger!
:D

Anyhow, anyone know just how flexible the rear seat space is on the 135i M?

Knees in back of seats for anyone over 5ft7 for example?
Head touching roof for anyone 6ft? etc

Have you got an insurance quote for a Cayman yet?

Nope, cant imagine it being a problem

Fantastic postcode + no points or previous claims means ive allways been very lucky with insurance :) Will get a quote but im still dubious as to if buying one at the arse end of the market is a good idea :p

Insurance for 23 year old male

6 years NCB
No Points
No Previous Claims

Evo - £1118
Porsche Gayman - £1180
BMW 135i - £750
Lotus Exige S 220 - £987

Bargin :)

Sorry to dig this up but I'm looking at 135i's at the moment and I always liked your taste in cars from ZSOC days.

Did you get to try a 135i Sam?

What are other peoples' more recent thoughts on these?

It'd go straight to Birds for suspension and a diff and P-Torque for a remap
