Tell me about e46 330 clubsports

Are they worth the premium over a stock 330 what's the differences etc etc

My old man is going to be trading his scooby in and One of these is top of his list

He's previously had a few e36s 328/m3

Any advice appreciated
 
It is just a 330Ci with a spoiler and some of the underbonnet sound proofing removed. Thats pretty much it bar a few minor cosmetic touches like wheels and a 'Clubsport' sill strip.

Not worth a premium over a 330Ci Sport, but nice if you can find one. Probably the major advantage is that it's available in Estoril Blue which the 330Ci Sport never was (ordinarily).

Most of them are old and owned by people who dont know how to look after them these days, mind. A real shame to see the E46 now firmly in this area of the market as they used to be such nice cars.

You really do need to get over yourself. The thread in GD was a mess because you wanted to argue for nothing as you couldn't read properly. Stop being a muppet :)

Not all 330Ci's came with spoilers. Some did, some didnt. Those that did have lip spoilers.
Lucero is pointing out that it came with a stupid rear spoiler, rather than just a lip spoiler.

All clubsports did, and if you read the first line of this thread,

To be fair I had already pointed out that the spoiler was a difference in my first reply - the 330Ci Clubsport had the higher level spoiler, a 330Ci Sport has a lip spoiler.

All 330Ci Sport's should have a lip spoiler, as it was standard fit (I guess some people peeled them off?).

The spoiler I was referring to on the Clubsport was quite obviously the additional higher level one - hence listing the spoiler as a 'difference' over the standard 330Ci Sport.

And fox said it was just a 330ci with a spoiler. a 330ci with a spoiler could be a lip spoiler, as that is a 330ci with a spoiler. a clubsport is more than just a spoiler, it is a specific spoiler (in some cases).

I have no problem with being called fat, bald and short, im under no illusions of what I am. You however, are being a muppet.

This is surely new levels of pedantry.

He's quite obviously asking what the difference between a Clubsport and a Sport is, he's hardly asking what the difference between Clubsport and SE is, is he? By the time the 330Ci Clubsport was available the '330Ci' with no trim level was long gone.

So mechanically Itsthe same a a 330 sport ie same engine suspension etc?

I looked at what the op said "stock 330".

This forum is great some times. If you assume someone means something it is wrong, yet if you take what is written it is wrong :D

I think there were minor suspension changes as well - its a bit stiffer. But to be honest that was never something the 330Ci Sport really needed anyway so its hardly a positive.
