My dog has been really ill of late, and today when i came home from work it had thrown up, i settled her down and got on with my evening, however i did have a few glasses of red with supper, around 9pm i go to fill my glass only to see my mutt laid out across the kitchen floor in a pile of her own mess, i panicked and basically called 999, an ambulance arrived and refused to help, i only wanted a lift to a registered vets if they could not help on the scene ... they left and im now really panicking, but the lolo starts to come a round a little and gets into her bed...

and then 10pm ! i get a knock on the door and two coppers are there, i get read my rights and now being charged for a geniune 999 call! like wtf it thought my dog was dying!

and they say there are police cuts! why are they not out there catching drug dealers!

/try again next year.

999 is for emergencies, HUMAN ones, not your sick dog. If you were that fussed about it, you'd have taken it to the vet earlier or called an all night vet or something. You deserve to be charged for wasting their time!

if you had a dog and could not drive surely u would do the same!

Really...OP is being that childish and lame...provided it is for April 1st. :/  Thought people grew out of this when they were like 11.

No, I'd not dial 999. I'd call a taxi or call a late night/over night vet or something.

Given that you totally missed that its April fools and fell for the OP, I would have replied similar to this on my follow-up ;):p

i thought they could help her, don't they carry medical and stuff? surely its not that different from working on a human? i can work on mac's and pc's ffs... the coppers said it may go to court! grrrrrr

Must be an April Fools, but if not...

What a stupid thing to do. Call a local emergency vet and let them shaft you, not the courts.
