Hi guys I'm after a new TV that is 40'' to 40'' and would prefer Toshiba mainly for thier supper build and picure quality.

I have listed some models I liked below I don't want to spend more than £500 If there are any other alternatives to Toshiba that offer better vale please post theem here.

Toshiba - 40RV753B (I don't really like the design of these newer models which puts me off a bit.

Toshiba Regza AV Series 42 inch 42AV635DB

Toshiba 40 inch 40LV665D

This can be had for under £500 and will blow those Toshiba disasters out the water.

SAMSUNG UE40C5100 Is full 1080P and LED backlit.

Product Features

* Samsung 1080p Full HD LED TV with 4 HDMI and Freeview
* Wide Colour Enhancer Pro gives some of the fullest, most lifelike colours ever seen on a TV
* Transfer your videos, music and photos from your PC or mobile device wirelessly
* Anynet+ lets you one-touch control any compatible Samsung device connected via HDMI
* Digital noise filter to reduce signal interference and reproducing clear images with sharp details

P.S. Whoever told you they had superior build quality was drunk, Sony, Panasonic, LG and Samsung are what you're after. Hitachi, Toshiba, Wharfedale < Stay Clear.

Get a Panny ?

But, out of the three you suggested:
Toshiba Regza AV Series 42 inch 42AV635DB

Richer Sounds have the Sony KDL40EX503 on offer today for £499 if that floats your boat. A very nice TV at a decent price.

+1 :-)

the Samsung looks great really loving it and the design is good to..

what about Panasonic do you recommend anything of thiers?

you can get the 46" Panasonic Viera TX-P46G20 from Richer sounds for £599.99 - that is a bargain and £50 cheaper than i can find the 42" inch version for which, annoyingly is the largest size i can realistically fit in my living room otherwise I'd buy it.

I am currently waiting for a solid review of the P42G30B - this will be the best non 3D TV on the market for less than a grand - or if money is tight get the P42G20B which is the 2010 model.
