Whilst I'm stuck here on my 1.7mbps connection and some of you jammy beggers are on BT's Infinity or VM 100 meg, this should bring even a tear to your eyes.

These were taking from a post made by a google employee during a chat with members of the public I believe....... it can be found here-

I'm gonna go and cry myself to sleep now whilst my overnight steam download of shogun 2 runs!

To be completely honest with you, I find it hard to get jealous over broadband speed these days. I'm 'only' on 20mb but it's perfectly adequate for my needs, any large downloads I'll schedule for later, sure I'd like 50mb or 100mb but I never feel that much envy for them etc.

I think once you cross the 10mb barrier then higher speeds aren't so amazing any more.

I agree, unless you really need megafast speeds for things like video uploading when I'm happy with my internet speed really. :)

I am quite happy with my BE Unlimited connection tbh, 19Mb down, 1.4Mb up. - £12 a month after a few discounts for being a loyal customer

How did you get 20Mb prices? I'm on 30Mb and am paying 20Mb price, well minus £1.50 so £28.50.

IF I could be bothered to plug in a ethernet cable I'd have a connection limited by my laptop's network card, our transit links are 40Gbit here...but to be honest wireless does me just fine though. Can't see the need for better than 60Mbps...

Same here...cant complain with my BE connection...i get about 18mb down and 1.2mb up...all for about £15 a month...stonking value and ive yet to see my connecttion be throttled.

Uni get 1GB/s, but they limit us to 2mb/s...

It's a complete joke -.-

How am I supposed to stream BBC HD -.-

Although, because they've limited it, it is a solid 2mb/s, which I guess is nice, knowing you always have 2mb/s... but yeah still annoying....
