SPRiNTER have released Series Premier of Showtime’s new drama “The Borgias”. Based on the life of Rodrigo Borgia who served as Pope Alexander VI, and his murderous children.

The BBC had a series called The Borgias the 80s. Hopefully this will be much better.

The Auditore's never actually existed the Borgias did.

Back on topic with the cast they've lined up for it I'll be extremely surprised and disappointed if it's no good.

This aired in the states and the reviews on idmb are GOOD!

Not even in the same league. This is AMAZINGLY GOOD. I suggest you watch it.

Some are saying it's even better than The Tudors, if so i can't wait to watch it as the tudors is one of my all time fav series!

Sky Atlantic has picked up the UK rights to Showtime’s new historical drama The Borgias. The drama is Showtime’s successor to The Tudors which concluded after four seasons charting the reign of Henry VIII (Jonathan Rhys-Meyer). The Borgias is set in Renaissance Italy and follows the notorious and criminal Borgia family. The drama stars Jeremy Irons, Holliday Grainger, Derek Jacobi, Ruta Gedmintas and Colm Feore. It will air on Sky Atlantic over the Summer.

July 2011 on Sky Atlantic.

Pilot is very good - similar feel to The Tudors. Definitely one to look out for.

Nice costumes and a little disjointed. Don’t know whether it was just the ad breaks but I couldn’t get into this. Hopefully it will get better next week.
