I was going to go for the desire z sim free becuase im stuck on a 2 yr contract (have a yr left) but the nI saw the E7. The only problem is its costing around £400.

Is there anything else coming out that maybe I shoudl wait for. Id liek to spend £300 max

Thanks in advance

Why do you NEED a keyboard phone anyway though? Its better you learn to use a touchscreen properly now instead of always having to buy gimped phones.

See I've tried allsorts Android handsets and the only one I could type properly on was the Milestone. There's no doubt in my mind that touch screen keyboards suck bum.

However some people use them just fine so as in everything in life, it boils down to personal preference.

OP there's a new Sony Ericsson coming out soon, the Arc Pro that looks like it might fit the bill.

Well, you'll be able to type at the same speed on a touchscreen once you understand how it works and practice a bit.

Fully agree that speed wise its absolutely fine but for some unknown reason its the accuracy that makes me type like a 2 year old.

Maybe its my fat fingers but I end up using the ruddy backspace key more than the letter keys and thats if I manage to hit the backspace key in the first place..!

Coming from My BlackBerry 9700, I wanted a 'Keyboard' phone and looked at the Desire Z and even the Xperia Pro (the new one not the Mini-Pro), but I don't like the 'Hinge' mechanisms on any of em!.. seem a bit flimsy!! So in the end I bit the bullet and just pre-ordered the Experia Arc, nice big 4.2" Screen!!... The Keyboard should be 'Fat Finger' friendly!! :)

The spell correction and text recognition on android is so good now that I don't even bother being careful any more when typing, I rarely even turn the phone landscape for typing (HTC Hero), just mash away and the software corrects everything :D

I know this doesn't help the OP at all but I had to share :p

i have a hero but i want a new phone too :)

The Hero is bloody awful. Nasty little thing. Hated mine after 2 weeks with it.

:D. Im on a two year contract with 3. I have a year left but im sick of the phone.

Angry birds is a nightmare to play it keeps lagging. It takes up to a minute to get past the loading screen

Sell it for whatever you can get for it and pay off the contract, then get a new one = win!

Im going to sell the phone but keep the contract. Im on 3 btw

Its £25 p/month
1000 minutes,
1000 texts
free 3 to 3 calls
1gb internet although they sent me a later saying its unlimited or somethnig

oh ye and they gave me the hero for free (feb 2010)

Haha I love my Hero, it works fine, would like a bit more responsiveness and bigger screen but it's been a great little phone. My contract ends in June..
