Mate I have been a Postman for over 15 years. It just gets on my **** when people(joking or otherwise) think that all posties must be on the fiddle. I highly doubt anyone on this entire forum would find it even slightly amusing if on a regular bases they where being accused of theft

Mayb im being a bit sensitive on this. Im tired and emotional:)

I think you are :)
Its the GD, do you really expect people to be nice?:)
I do know what its like to always be accused of stealing - everyone always assumes that it MUST be the Asian who tries to rip you off :(

I once had a note from the postman saying I needed to pay the postage on a letter. I wasn't sure if the letter was important so immediately paid the postage online and had it redelivered. I was quite annoyed to discover it was Papa Johns sending out a leaflet in an envelope! I should have complained really...

Yep that happens a lot aswell. Iv even seen some companies send out leaflets that look identical to the notes that we leave if there is no one at home. Then you get people turning up at the depot to collect something that doesnt exist

Im a postie and you should see the amount of letters that get held back due to underpaid postage especially at Christmas in my office alone thousands a week.

The question is, how many people get refunded for over paying postage ? I suspect not many.

It will work. But it's illegal :p
And you might have trouble getting a packet/parcel sent off since, generally, if it won't fit in a postbox then it has to be left at a post office. And they'll check the postage before they let you leave it.

aww man. my solution to student debt is ruined :(

:p

to be fair cleecoo it's not because your Asian but because you wear a balaclava and carry a sawn off shotgun all the time.

This annoyed me once recently. Got a card saying i have to go and pay to collect the letter due to the sender not paying enough postage. Wasn't sure what it could be, went along and paid about £1.50 and when i got home and opened it, it was some randon unsolicited junk mail

That's happened to me twice now as well, I'm not going to bother now unless the wife or I are waiting on something coming through the post. I think this'll just hasten the decline in post anyway.

I also had one Christmas card from Moonpig from my parents which hadn't been stamped properly!
