Iphone 3GS or 4 for my dad (SIM Free)

Hey all,

My dad is after a phone that he can use for work, e-mailing, easy to use, SMS, taking pictures, sending people pictures, he likes things easy to use, someone suggested to him a HTC but I said iPhone, do you agree with me?

I have both iPhone and HTC Desire HD myself and I know that the HTC is more tweaking where as iPhone is pretty straight forward.

What's the best deal at the moment with regards to SIM free iPhones? I use a 3gs and that's more than enough for what I need it for so should be fine for him.

His current phone contract runs out in September but he cant wait for that as he needs e-mail on the move so I suggested buying SIM free, then when contract is up for renewal try and get an upgrade handset out of them and sell it to make the money back.

Any help appreciated :)

Also if there is any deals going on with SIM free iPhones on topcashback I would like to know, I am looking on there now

the 3gs is long past it and he would be better off with most android phones , its a rip off price wise too

i wouldn't ignore blackberrys though for work use...
 
The iPhone 4 is your best choice here by a mile.

Especially as taking pictures seems to be important, the 3GS camera is poor at best.

You are looking at anywhere around £400 for an immaculate second hand 16GB iPhone 4 I would think, maybe a bit less.
