April Fuel *groan*

I missed this. I fill up at Shell who have "Fuelsaver Unleaded" at 134.9. Think I will try the local supermarket fuel now. Pretty sure they're much cheaper.

Actually in my first post I meant generally ie. ~130 ppl. It was only when people started saying they were going out their way to find cheaper fuel I began to question it. You don't go out of your way to find cheaper fuel from what you've said?

I honestly think I'd still continue to use Tesco even if Jet half a mile down the road was 5 pence cheaper. The shorter queues and p@p would be most welcome.

I don't go hunting for cheaper fuel, I just know that the Sainsbury's that I shop at is cheaper than the one I work at for fuel and is closer to home.

If I did hunt for it, I'd use petrolprices.com anyway as that would save the pointless task of driving about looking for cheap fuel. If I have to fill up as it is empty at either work then I will, but I'd rather fill up and save a couple of £. :)

As for pay at pump, doesn't really bother me not using it as with you, I think the only local ones are Tesco but to be honest they often aren't working and I also pick stuff up in the shop anyway, so might as well just go in. :)

And I was pretty pleased at filling up at 130.9 for diesel yesterday.
That would be amazing to see that, seeing the litres dial going up but being able to see the price hardly move

I always pay at the pump and can't understand why so many people still prefer to go inside and pay via their credit/debit card?

Shell points!

indeed, my local shell is 129-130 at the mo, with the points aswell its lovely.

Did anyone else notice, when the new budget came out, my local stations lowered the price by a penny. They cut the fuel price for a grand total of 1 DAY and its been the same higher price for over a week now.

Me neither. Our Tesco filling station has now put in a line of dedicated Pay at Pumps which is great as they are nearly always empty :)

i used to pay at pump at tesco till the scanner stopped reading my clubcard keyfob.

now we shop at sainsburys and they dont seem to do it, plus u need to go in for nectar points.

got a 5p off at pump voucher which saved about 2.40. coupled with my saving of nearly a pound earlier, that a free beer :p

My visa debit card just will NOT work at the pumps at tesco since they refurbed our local... so I have to go in :(

I've also never seen 5ppl differences within a mile radius.

You should come here, local BP is currently 7ppl more expensive than the Morrisons & Sainsburys which are a mile(ish) away.

Nothing works properly since the refurb, the pumps are constantly going wrong. Will be even better soon as the store is getting its 5 year refit in June :p
