How to raise £600,000

Haha.

Nah not the case.

edit: I don't really care to elaborate, suffice to say that it's a case of me having some inside knowledge about something else that makes what someone has more valuable to someone etc etc. Problem is I don't have the cash and time is running out til it becomes public knowledge. :(

Blackmail??

Yep. Due to the nature of what is happening the asset is going to increase in value a lot, hence my panic. In a short time it's going to be in demand and I'm going to be fuming.

If youre so sure, purchase a call option. Go to the £600k seller, and purchase for say £10k, the right to purchase the asset at a later date (say within 1 month) for exactly £600k.

You have been told what to do. Become a agent. Go to a lawyer and get a contract signed up for 20% fee and get the seller to sign it. Then introduce them to the buyer and you have made £300,000.

Hmm .. £600K eh?

If you can contractually get the £1.5m buyer set up, then anyone will lend you the money for just .. say .. £50K interest. ..

And can it be broken down into chunks, to limit a disaster just in case?

Ie you go in for a small 50k chunk and see if that goes well before buying the rest? Have you yourself got any money at all?

*cracks knuckles*

;)

Nah, it's not blackmail.

Googled call options. That's certainly something to consider, thanks.

Its not as straightforward as that, it's not something you can partially buy. I could probably get £2k myself in overdraft, and the parents could probably scrape together £10k. Eg nothing significant.

Obviously this is a dodgy drug deal of some kind, & my guess is if this goes wrong you could end up dead.

Nothing outside of drugs would have that kind of return.

Now you've already made the 1st mistake of yapping about it on a public forum. My advice is walk away.

edit:

if drugs though, getting a legally binding contract may be difficult.

No there are land deals, even property if he knows about an upcoming change of usage etc, just a guess of course.

It's a peculiar thing, it's not something most people come across in everyday business. The people who will buy it are a large large company.

And no not drugs ;)

Cheers, appreciate it.

post dated cheque? allowing the 1.5mil to clear?

lololol. Nice suggestion :D

Your too late, you've missed your opportunity because I've got in there first.

He accepted my offer of some magic beans.

@ Kenmare

The golden rule is that doing nothing ALWAYS loses. So if you let this opportunity time-out you'd be a fool. When it comes close to deadline don't get greedy or chicken. At that point trying to cut a very low profit, referral or sourcing fee deal must be tried. True, you may end being circumvented or cut-out but so what? Sure as heck if you wait for the deadline to pass and let it pass without doing anything that's 100% fail guaranteed.

Something worth 600 grand now, but 1.5m soon....

Have you confirmed that the item is actually legal? And actually has this value, guaranteed at worst case 600 grand?

Could you please give me some advice on how to create a "call option" that would be legally binding?
