I'm looking to fly to Canada in July to go to a wedding, now i've looked at BA and Air Canada and prices seem fairly similar. To get decent seats in air canada you go economy then get the pick of the premium economy seats, or BA get premium economy decent seats as standard.

Whats the best option here?

They state you can plug in your laptop but what is the actual plug fitting?

Any other decent options, need to fly to Vancouver.

Have you looked at Canadian affair? Last time I used them prices were really good. Premium economy seats for the win though lol.

Air Canada has awesome in flight entertainment systems made the journey home much easier. Watching fringe etc :D

Travelled to Canada a fair bit:

CanadianAffair is obviously cheap, but terrrible. Super cramped seats and 11 hour flights its torture.

Normally fly air-canada now, checkin online, reserve the bulkhead seats, knock a few shorts back and get a good sleep!

I've used Canadian Affair in the past a few times and I've never had a problem. The leg room was fine and there was decent entertainment.

11 hours? Where did you fly from and to where?

London to Vancouver is under just over 9 hours, unless you didn't have a direct flight and stopped; perhaps in Calgary.

I've flown Air Canada many times and Canadian Affair premium economy once and believe me once was enough.

It's cheap, yes - but the seats are uncomfortable, cramped and recline about 3 inches. We had a stop over in Calgary so it also took 11 hours and the pilot had to attempt his landing into Calgary 3 times as he kept overshooting the runway and scrubbing off too much height so we were thrown around.

My backside was also numb for about 3 days afterwards cause of the rock hard seats.

done a good few trips back and forward, ba and air canada were great, but more expensive, klm are good - air france, delta, globespan etc were terrible!!

how many bags are you planning on taking, never had any probs being over the weight limit with ba or air canada, klm were tight on it, but works out cheaper to upgrade your seat and get more baggage rather than pay the excess!!

Sure my flights with Canadian Affair aren't the most comfortable - but I see it as a means to an end. It gets me to where I want to go, and its cheap. You get what you pay for :) I'd rather spend the extra cash in Canada than on a more comfortable flight...

i was of the same mind until i got a free trip on air canada! i found that if i had a more comfortable flight i was much fresher when i stepped off the plane and didn't get jetlagged half as bad but maybe that was just me...

Canadian Affair every time. Try and get on a Thomas Cook aircraft, they are extremely comfy, having more room in their seats than premium class has in some other airlines.

I flew on a Thomas Cook airlines and the premium class was in no way better than other airlines! It was awful.
