PC - To buy or not to buy?

Seriously... The PC will last longer and provide more entertainment in the long term.

If you really feel the need to "let off some steam", go to Thailand and forget the PC. ;)

Alternatively, take some of the money away from the PC budget, then use it to do a tandem skydive or perhaps AFF. That would be "living", IMO.

Love the Aliens reference btw ;)

Week in Amsterdam = STD

Plus, unless you're getting some sort of dark, perverted fantasy out of your system, an intimate encounter with a hooker is unlikely to be a fulfilling experience. I know a few people who have felt quite messed up mentally afterwards. May as well just buy the local slapper a few sambuccas. :p

As others have said, you could easily do both! Even £600-odd on a PC should do you nicely... and when I went to the 'dam we stayed in a hostel for 20 euros for 4 nights and spend about £200, which at the time was about 250euros.

Do both - win win

I'd say dump the PC idea and go on some holidays with mates. Dumping my gaming PC was the single greatest thing I did. I used to complain about never doin anything before realising it's because I used to game a lot.

I agree. PC gaming can take over your life. Have you got a xbox or ps3 instead though and if so do you find yourself on them for to long?

Holiday if with friends otherwise PC.

Or gamble the cash if you want a rush for 30 seconds, potentially longer if you win.

Buy a cheaper PC and do something different like going skydiving withe the cash saved.

Getting drunk (or stoned) in Amsterdam isn't really outrageous, isn't cheap and quite frankly is a little trite. Amsterdam is a wonderful city to visit but not for the reasons you've proposed.

Both? You don't need to spend a ton on a pc, just go for a simple itx/matx build - cheap and cheerful and provides entertainment on rainy days.
