My new love for L lens

Having made the switch over from a Nikon D3 to a 5DMk2 I decided to scrap going down the zoom lens route and got myself the 35mm f1.4 & 135L f2 and all I can say is WOW

Only down side is the 5DMk2 focusing in low light truly is shockingly rubbish compared to my D3 .

I'm in love with the new glass. Here is a few from my first real shoot with them from Sunday. F1.4 & F2 Love

14-24mm f2.8
24-70mm f2.8
70-200mm f2.8
85mm f1.4

Dont get me wrong the Nikon glass was stunning but just fancied a change.

Thats a big investment to cash in because you 'just fancied a change' results look superb though!

I sold them off bit by bit, i found myself keeping lens for the sake of it and when i went back looking at my work I rarely used the 14-24 & 70-200 so they where first to go.

Its a weird one I dont like the focal range of the 85mm, I had the 85mm 1.4 and never used it so £1200 on the 1.2 will be a bit of a waste

I've never purchased a new lens in my life I really cant see the point :confused:

£1200 is the going rate for a secondhand for this lens, there is one on TP for that much.

For moving subjects you are correct.

For stationary models in a shoot, it's perfect.

Thank, The first 3 are pretty much as they where shot and no PP done apart from sharping a bit.
