hey guys,

I have been doing push ups lately and trying to build some muscle on my chest and arms. but today I'm finding it really hard to take deep breaths or just to breath.

you guys got any solution or tip to stop or reduce the pain?

thanks for reading,

Trigger.

Man the **** up.

Oh and you must be doing something wrong if you can't breath because of doing some pushups.

Try taking really deep breaths next time your doing chest exercises that way I find it does not hurt with normal breathing afterwards..

Sounds like you have just tightened your muscles with too much excersize.
Have you worked your chest at all in the recent past? or ever at all.
Because if you haven't then you don't want to start with full push ups, start doing them on an incline, leaning on a bench or some thing.

In fact, if you are new to it, I wouldn't recommend you do it at all.
You idealy need to start with some lightweight dumbell flys on a bench and add push ups into the workout when you have gained more strength. You shouldn't ever start by lifting your whole body weight, it will only cause an injury.

Wow! The man wants to progress, not wait 5 years till he can start doing anything body weight!

Unless you are HUGE then getting on the floor and trying some pressups is a good thing, be it from your knees or full.

If you are trying to build Muscle on your chest, push ups aren't the best way to do it.

the past few weeks i have been doing it on my knees, but lately I'm doing the full push-up. Also I'm not "huge" I'm kinda skinny.

Are you sure you dont have a chest infection of some sort? Once I got one but just thought it was my asthma playing up. Went to to doc and got some antibiotics to cure it.

Really? Really?! Doing a push up must be what, half your bodyweight, no where near your whole bodyweight. Push ups will not injure him.

About 70% i think, which is why for bigger people it really is a hard job to do lots, if any!
