Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my gfx card for something thats good for 3D. I'm not too impressed by the lack of interest in ATI's HD3D, or the limitations imposed by the HDMI 1.4a spec for 3D.

Choices are (just want something that will be nice for 3D @ 1080p):

480 @ £200

570 @ £240

580 @ £360

I don't know much about performance between the 3, you opinions are valued, thx.

Well the card with the biggest value there is the 480.

Cheaper than the 570, same performance more memory. So on these facts its the better buy.

But its negative aspects is a higher power draw and heat.

If you can live with these things, its a good buy.

So I should be ok with a 480 Soc for playable 3D @ 1080p.

Will my PSU hx620 be enough?

I currently play WoW and will be playing The Old Republic. I also play Civ 5, C&C and some other Steam games.

Your psu just about does it.
The 480 will beast ALL for the price anyways.
+1 for a 480

*Off Topic* -ish

Sorry to Hijack a bit, but can any of these cards 'transform' 2D DVD's/Video's to 3D? :p :) Thanks

I would have went for the Gigabyte GTX480 SUPER OC @£227.99 because of the better cooler if you wouldn't have minded the blue PCB but good choice anyway :)

I'm only having the 1 monitor :) I found the 23" LG W2363D for £180 inc del. Which might be better than the possible £500 for a 27" 120hz.
