IPhone 4 won't update :(

Hi,

Seems I've bricked my iPhone when updating to 4.3.1
It isn't jailbroken as i was on 4.3 and couldn't.
Now, after i tried updating, the phone was taking about 3 hrs and it was clear it was stuck so I had to disconnect it. It went into DFU restore mode and i re-connected it and it says the usual thing. I click restore and then it asks if I want to restore and update. I say yes and it does everything normally until a certain point where it just stops. It is always the same place. I have tried about 4 times now. Any ideas?

If you've never been jailbroken then you won't be able to use an older firmware as Apple stop signing them.

If you have been in the past it's possible by modifying your hosts file to point Apple's activation server to the Cydia server as your SHSH blobs should be saved.

Have you ever been jailbroken? That would open up more options mate. :)

had jailbroken but lost it when an idiot friend said 4.3 had an untethered.
I managed to fix it with the 4.3.1 IPSW. Thanks to both of you!
What's the best untethered for 4.3.1. I'm about to use redsn0w
