Definitely this, perhaps not for all crime but certainly if you break into someone's property you should waive your rights.

Burglar in my house I'd probably go for the cricket bat him him in the head then cuff him with cable ties.
I wouldn't go for the air rifle in my room as no doubt that would lead to some idiotic MP declaring that air rifles are dangerous weapons and should all be banned and that would ruin the fine sport.
 
I have a full tong sword about a meter away from where I sleep so i'd likely end up picking that up and what happens from their would depend on what they do. If the persons were being aggressive or I could stop the removal of my property I would probally neecap them or break a rib with the back + scabbard on. If they whip out a gun/knife etc i'd go 'saudi' on their ass.
 
Run towards them with an erection and a tub of vaseline in one hand.... That should scare them off (or make them laugh :()

Sorry what I meant to say was I would set up my little plastic army to sit there and protect my goods and family. I just hope he doesn't scratch the paint when they attack him!

That's just lazyness, If you're going to do it properly you need a good open space that would be incredibly difficult to find someone, especially if they have been ground up :)

If it is a sole chav burglar then my brother and I would try to restrain him and wait for the police.

If it was a gang armed with weapons, well then, I guess I'll have to buy new stuff.
