LGA 1155 and H70

Hi Guys,

Just looking at P8P67 and noticed it says LGA1155 on it.
Does the H70 cooler fit this? Indicators to me say no but OC said before I ordered that there were no compatibility issues.

yeah it will be fine you can use the 1156 bracket

I've just fitted this on the asus sabertooth P67.

Fits perfectly using the 1156 connections

. Exactly the same as 1155

Will 100 % Fit just looks wonky when you marry it up but its good 1155/56 same holes.

Misleading here.

You need to distort the rear bracket to line the holes up correctly.
Bit like:

o----o

o---o

It is pliable and will bend, but the screws become tight as the plate attempts to re-align itself.

This is on the P67 Sabertooth B3.

You shouldn't have to you have the Screw threads in the base plate in the wrong holes, should line up holes wise perfect, bracket will be askew but the holes won't.

Well its on and will pass the test but its not right. It should be a perfect fit and its not. Tried always but its on and is firm and flush to processor so all good.

The bracket doesn't need distorting at all, it fits perfectly. If yours was distorted something can't be right.

I tried every hole combo known to mankind!

I eventually jumped across to a Noctua NH-D14 anyhow

Currently my processors just cleaned with nailpolish remover, and it's just stuck on with the standard Corsair thermal grease, i've got IPA on order and got my IcDiamond 7 sat here, the IPA should come on friday, i'll take a couple of pics when i'm refitting it to show how everything sat for me etc.

got an h50 on asus p8p67 pro, fits fine, just make sure ALL the bits are the right way round! (the little black clips on the top part nearly caught me out)

Deffo fits, did one last night

(LGA 1155 is Sandybridge)

On the bracket use the LGA1156 holes (embossed onto the plastic), fits perfectly (Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3).

Now the radiator is a different story, won't fit on the rear of my Antec 1200, going to get a 120mm to 80mm adaptor and fit it upto the top fan on the Antec 1200
