920 @ 4GHz 40/80c - ok?

It has got quite a bit warmer now and my computer has seemed to have risen 5c, although I have up the speed of all fans in my HAF X.

I'm clocked @ 4GHz running around 40c idle and 80c under full load with Prime95.

A week or so ago it was 5c under these stated values.

Should I worry about this at all? Perhaps drop a couple of clicks down?

My vCore is at 1.24 using a Coolermaster air cooler, not sure which as borrowing of my cousin...

80c is fine when running stress apps, normal usage wont push it that high. Also seeing a rise of 5-6c on my cpu and gpu's in the last few days.

I'd say time for a reseat and new paste, need to stay below 70 realistically :cool:

This, 80deg is a bit on the toasty side, also the weather will probably get hotter during summer aswell...

The temps are fine, mine idles at 35-40c (low rpm fans) loaded is 60-70c (dependent on what rpm on my fans i use).

Also the ambient temps have risen abit the past few days its getting warmer, easy fix, open the windows and stop using the heating in the house lol.

Sounds about right for me too .. never gone above 65c on the hottest core !

80 is fine for these chips, don't worry about it
