What would you do if you found a thief in your house?

Really smart posting images of a highly offensive weapon on a Public Forum with known serving Police Officers as Moderators, inferring you not only own it but also have other weapons too.
They're more than welcome to come and inspect my home, I have nothing to hide. My toys are in my home and never leave the house. Also a photo isn't illegal the last time I heard .

It's not illegal to own swords, so surely it's not illegal to own a baseball bat?

If it was just a Baseball Bat there's no problem with it, the fact it's been modified into an offensive weapon with not much other use than to maim or kill is the reason I find it incredulous he's posted it.

 I honestly don't see what the problem is, unless you break into my home of course.

If you came to be in a position to use it under those circumstances, I imagine a lot of questions would be asked. The word "pre-meditated" would probably come up pretty quickly.

You wrote that like you assume I would be calling the police? I wouldn't call the police.

Oh for goodness sake, grow up. it's getting embarrassing now.
I'm confused whats to be embarrassed about? I'm being honest, I will not welcome intruders with fluffy bunny slippers and a cup of hot chocolate .

laws in this country are ****ed. If i see a thief in my house I would beat the **** out of him or her, immobilise the thief and call the police. But in America I think you have the right to shoot the thief.

The defence laws in this country are stronger than in many parts of the USA. You can reasonably assume that almost all of what you've heard about defence in this country is a lie. Also, even the most extreme "castle" states in the USA don't give people carte blanche to kill.

This is next to my bed. I don't know why it's there, as it's been there for ages and I can't remember the exact reason for putting it there. I probably heard something weird downstairs once, and got freaked out.

The chances of me using it? Nil I think. I might wave it at someone as a deterrent, i.e. my massive felling axe is bigger/sharper than your fists/knife/face so get out of my house.
