Hi guys, i was wondering if there are any fans i can buy that allow you to turn off the power to the motor and LED's independently? I'm looking for some silent red fans to give my Fractal R3 a red glow out the frond and underneath.

Thanks.

I don't think so. All the one's I'd seen are all wired into the same thing. You could snip the LED wires yourself though :P

I was thinking that but it seems like a lot of work :P.

on a side note: GAH for some reason my graphics card has suddenly become a washing machine and its wobbling about >.<. Stupid thing. so noisy.

The Energymax cluster fans allow you to switch the LED's on/off... but they are white so you would need to replace the LEDs... alternatively you could buy the fans you want and a separate LED controller, Lamptron do some nice ones..

The trouble with most fans is that for cheapness the LED are wired directly to the incoming 12v power supply. Depending on the fan wiring method it may be possible to break the connection somewhere on the fan PCB and install a switch of some kind to open and close the LED power.

I've always felt it easier just to replace all the wiring and wire in my own master light switch.

Would be handy to have this for sure

ENERMAX T.B.VEGAS Trio or duo < search them. About only one I can think off. Have a little switch to select color, mode, on off etc. Not sure what sizes they're in though.
