How the hell is the outer ring of what use to be the brake disc still being held perfectly in place? stuck to the brake pads?

I once saw some brakes that were so worn - That the pad had actually dropped out and the piston was touching the actual brake disk!

Been there, done that.

Tip. If this happens to you, do not try and pick up the brake pad. :o

Happened to me last week although it was on the other side, carrier was rubbing on the disc. Whoops!

I'm amazed they wore so uniformly. It's on the internet so I'm calling BS. ;)

edit: And it's almost like you can see where it's been cut on the hub and hasn't been put outside to rust like the outer ring before taking the pics. No doubt they were extremely worn brakes but I think they have been helped along a bit here for internet lulz.

"Well **** me, one of my pads has fallen out. LOL"

"AAAAAARGH Iesu that's hot!"

You noticed quicker than me then :p

I heard a grinding coming from the rear brakes, I assumed one of the pads had got low so I thought I'll sort it at the weekend - no bother. The grinding got worse after a week or so, this is when I noticed a missing pad and a few mm shaved off my carrier :D

Good pics, I think its been driven onto the ramp and the bell of the disc has rubbed on the pad and cleamed it up

Note the cut in the bottom of the 'disc' so it could be put back over the hub easily for gullible internet people to think it's real. The other cut is hidden in the caliper. ;)
