What winds you up most when you're driving?

Leaving the work car park and getting onto the A road to my town only to see a string of lorries stuck behind a tractor. :(

Living in the countryside and working right next to a distribution center is fail for commuting.

Ooooo more. yeah thanks for remindming me. scum!

Fully agree on people who sit in the right hand lane for whatever reasons. Either on a dual carriagway and they just sit in it because they eventually have to turn right and cba changing lanes. Or they are overtaking and cba changing back or they just think they deserve to be in there. Have heard about people doing it purely to stop people going too fast, great way to stop accidents I must say.....

Also people who slow down too much for cameras (as has been mentioned). Dont get it, speedo is likely clocked fast and the camera will have a buffer of a couple. Yet they need to be sure it doesnt catch them and slow down to an absolute crawl.

Would also like to add people who are unable to comprehend numbers. completely ignoring any change in speed and continuing at whatever the first speed sign they saw was. National speed limit also needs a flashing sign above it shouting 'IT MEANS 60mph YOU NUMPTIES!' on so many country roads etc.

People who under-take. Even when you're sat at the speed limit.

People who think they own the road and can drive where they want. Just remember your speedo is only accurate to 10% + or -. Someone else may be 10% the other way, so legally you may be going 63mph and they may be going 77 mph.

Andi.

Cant agree more these type of person actually cause accidents because they cause road rage in other drivers.

Problem is the right hand lane is actually for overtaking, the EU seem to understand this but UK drivers just well seem in-capable of understanding this.

Its these people who sit the right lane are actually the selfish ones and in the wrong irrelevent of how fast they may be going, its for overtaking and you only need to get in the right lane if your turning right once your circa 300 yards away from your turn, not 2 miles.

Agreed but as I mentioned were not the law, so if someone wants to do 150mph its upto them and as such is if the left lane is clear then move over and let those who want to go fast go speeding, otherwise you could cause an accident or road rage incident.

Why not move over then?

Seriously nothing annoys me then following someone over a roundabout onto a dual carriage-way and they simply keep right when the left hand lane is clear. All because they want to turn right two miles down the road. So what if they are doing 50mph, 60mph or 100mph, GET OVER!

When I come off a roundabout I want to accelerate upto the speed limit or drive at the speed I wish to drive at and to have someone stay in the right hand lane when the left lane is clear is very annoying.

My car is pretty quick, but when I am coming over a roundabout I move over to the left lane and only use the right lane when overtaking, because sometimes there are cars or bikes quicker than me or who may wish to drive well above the speed limit and as I am not the law I move over and allow them to go on there way.

So how come you feel your in your right to hold them up?

My other pet hate is those who drive at 40mph everywhere, whether its a 30 zone or national speed limit zone, 40mph is not suitable for either and greatly annoying.

Because there was a car infront of me? This chap undertook my car and the car in front.

christian (cars with fish on the back)/female/jealous small engined drivers who think it's their mission in life to enforce the speed limit, to the point where they swerve all over the road to prevent you from progressing at any speed.

The thing that most winds me up when driving are the twonks who "accelerate" up a motorway slip road and decide to join the flow of traffic at 50mph

Granted my car is hardly the fastest in the world but sitting behind them is so frustrating - I like to being doing 65/70 before attempting to join the flow of traffic on a motorway!

You heard it here first kids, having a car in front of you renders it impossible to move into the correct lane.

I have to say I'm guilty of this, only because if i follow the correct rules I'll move into the middle lane the guy behind me will nip into my place and I'll then find myself scuppered up the arse of a christian/female middle lane hogger

The car in front was probably a women. Still why be a sheep and do as they are?

If and when this happens to me, as in there is a car in front, nothing in front of them and the left lane is clear I will give them a flash of my lights as a gentle reminder, please move over.

If nothing happens I shall just move to the left myself and maybe move back over and if they still don't move over I shall just cruise slowly ahead of them as such people generally dont have a clue what the mirrors are for and then I can get on my way.

But those people holding up the right lane when the left lane is clear are simply selfish and risk causing accidents.

Will also add the impatient eejits who dive out of junctions infront of you. You could be the only car on the road yet they insist on diving out right infront of you forcing you to brake quite sharply so they dont have be behind you. Will often be of of the other types of drivers who drive pointlessly slowly or they are turning off at the next road anyway rendering their entire dangerous/anger inducing stunt, pointless.

Can normally spot them and if busy I just prepare to brake and if the road is clear they are prime target for a cheeky overtake, funny how they flash at you though when it was them who caused you to make such evasive action. :D

Highway code I believe states you should only pull out if you won't cause another car/driver to alter their driving.

I do that, but in my defence i do give them a cheery wave to say thanks :)

Fair play, I should have moved over. However how could I move over as this guy undertaking me was neck and neck with me? So I was stuck. You really had to be there to understand.
