What winds you up most when you're driving?

people who cant keep left.

or people who cant use their mirrors.

or people who get agitated if they suddenly find themselves being undertaken as per my first point.

if your too stupid to pull into the left lane I will undertake you. but when they go all road ragey after being undertook and decide to start flashing lights and giving chase seriously you made me do it. i've sat behind you for three miles with the inside lanes clear as your too stupid to look behind you or pull over.

People who dont read signs - There is a bus stop at the bottom of the road that is only in operation for 4 hours a day (2 morning 2 afternoon) to cover rush hour. 2 sets of drivers are just as bad as eachother, the ones who know its a bus lane but dont care and drive in it all the time and block people off from getting in at the end, and the others who refuse to drive in it at any point and instead decide its for merging into at the end so dont bother indicating AND then give you a dirty look for driving in it. READ THE SIGNS.

Those signs are rarely in huge letters though, plus given all the other things you need to concentrate on while driving it is no surprise that some people don't realise they can use the bus lane ... especially given how Nazi plenty of councils are and stick cameras covering bus lanes to give auto-fines.

Don't blame the drivers there, blame the council for putting in a pointless bus lane for 4 hours of the day. What was wrong with just making it a normal dual lane road instead, why should buses get the advantage over cars!

Tailgaters, I do a fair commute on a major A road everyday and the amount of bad tailgating is unbelievable.

People who drive in the right hand lane of a dual carriage way, even tho the turning/junction/roundabout that they actually need to be in the right hand lane for isn't for another 1-2 miles away.

I just end up smoking them up the inside.

People who stop at roundabouts, They are Roundabouts Not Stopabouts.

People who stop the flow of traffic to let somebody out/in.

Speed limits. :mad::mad::mad:

People who drive through both lanes on a roundabout when i'm in the other bloody lane.

Yes infuriates me, they take the straight line over the roundabout when its not clear to do so causing other drivers to brake.

Cyclists, those who ride on pavements, plus the ones who ride off the pavement in front of you, then keep changing lanes in front of you when your in rush hour traffic.

Newport Road in Cardiff, any Saturday is lethal for people skipping lanes. They indicate then INSTANTLY nudge into another lane without looking assuming just indicating means move over, I've had so many near misses I can't even keep count its mental.

Ive noticed this in the 911, now it could just be the car that gives the impression they are much closer than they are.

But still do these people realise that if I need to stop that a car that weighs less, has far larger brakes, ceramics at that will stop a lot quicker than they can.

It might just be the car but the other day a women was right up my chuff and I simply just starred in my mirrors shaking my head and in fairness she did seem to realise and backed off.

Problem is the right hand lane is actually for overtaking, the EU seem to understand this but UK drivers just well seem in-capable of understanding this.

Its these people who sit the right lane are actually the selfish ones and in the wrong irrelevent of how fast they may be going, its for overtaking and you only need to get in the right lane if your turning right once your circa 300 yards away from your turn, not 2 miles.

There is however an issue with that, we have so many road users who drive far too slow for my liking, which means that were I to always employ the "keep left" idea I would be in and out of the left hand lane constantly as I like to travel at approx. a ton in a 70 and would tend to just catch up the numpties/annoying trucks doing 60 in the left hand lane constantly.

Having to constantly change lanes would just annoy me then, much simpler to just stick in one lane and boot it.

Perhaps we need a separate road network for the slow people?

go live in france for a while you will soon realise the UK drivers are saints in comparison!

She was just getting a better look at you, women will fall on you now you got the Porsche you see :D

People on these new massive mopeds who filter to the front of a queue at the set of lights in front of you, and then take AGES to set off. GET OUT OF MY WAY.

Thats not the issue, I'd too do similar, but when a faster vehicle comes along I will move over, even if I was doing a ton myself, I'd still move over.

When I go on the motorway I tend to just sit in the fast lane simply because as you say I'd be darting in and out constantly, but the moment I see a car coming up behind I move over and allow them to pass.

I've been on the motorway moving pretty fast and still had cars fly by me which made me look like I was not moving, I just let them get on it.

Infact I had a classic today.

Travelling along approaching a roundabout I see/hear a bike so I move over so he can pass, as the biker is coming off the roundabout the van in front swerves deliberately to the right so he can't overtake. This poor biker was just shaking his head and a few yards up the road I see biker undertake this van and flip him the bird, good on the biker.

But why do some people object to been overtaken or nearly cause accidents in attempting to prevent so, its damn right dangerous, do people realise they are driving big lumps of metal weighing over a ton?

People who think they own the road and can drive where they want. Just remember your speedo is only accurate to 10% + or -. Someone else may be 10% the other way, so legally you may be going 63mph and they may be going 77 mph.

Andi.

Actually that's wrong. A speedo cannot under-read unless it has been seriously messed with, they will ALWAYS over-read. In fact when made they purposely make them to over-read. Imagine the uproar if people were being caught speeding in a new car and the speedo said they weren't? Car manufacturers know this and take precautions.

1) Drivers using their mobiles
2) Drivers cutting corners just as you're coming to the junction
3) Drivers who don't thank you when you've let them go
4) Boy racers who drive down back streets at speed (and yes 99% of the time they are young)
5) Drivers who stay in the right lane because they are doing the speed limit (I will undertake you)
6) Drivers who have no clue how to use a roundabout and use the left lane to turn right
7) 4x4 drivers who go over speed bumps at 2 mph.

I've been driving 35 years so I'll remember a few more later
