Early BMW Z3 - wind deflector - anyone fitted one?

I have an early Z3 ( 1997 ) which didn't have any hoops fitted behind the seats on which to fit a wind deflector which is needed as it's deffo draughty above 20mph with the roof down.

Has anyone fitted a deflector to their early Z3 and if so, any suggestions as to which one to fit?
This is the motor....

if you are keeping it
id see if the car has the fittings to fit the hoops, then pick up the deflector
cost us about 80 quid a few years ago
but you need the hoops

It's the hoops that are the expensive bit - I don't think the early Z3's have the mounts to accept the later hoops. That's why I wondered if anyone had actually successfully fitted any hoops to an early Z3.

I tried the latter when I first got it without much sucess but I've not tried zroadster! Thanks for the heads up on that one!
