when i start pc up gtx temp is sitting at about 48c / 50c thats with two screens one @ 1920 by1080 and one @ 1680 by 1050. and when i play crysis 2 it go's up too 70 / 80c and end up cutting game out and play up . starting to think there is a prob with the oc guru smart tuner

80 degrees isnt hot at all for a 480gtx. I would only be worried if it was 95 degrees +. I think the thermal throttle is something like 105 on them.

It must be something other than heat i would have thought.

Mine, recently on these warm days has been low 80's when playing games. To be honest though i keep it at 60% fan speed to keep it quiet as well.

Might change the profile to go up to 70% for the summer

For a 480, that's almost freezing!

Could use afterburner to put the card to stock clocks if you wanted see if it cures your problems.

Core 700mhz.
Shader Clock: 1401MHz
Memory Clock: 3696MHz

Run OCCT GPU Test on your card, if you get errors, then your card isn't stable at advertised clocks.

Ive just ran through 3dmark11 at your clocks, did it fine.

Id find it hard to believe that it was clocks thats your problem.
