Stefan and Erika Svanstrom and their baby girl, Elinor, encountered a blizzard, a cyclone, flooding, a bush fire, an earthquake and a nuclear disaster during their four-month trip.

Now that is bad luck...Anyone else had this much badluck in the short space of time?

Hmmm taking their kid on a honeymoon??...ermm isnt a honeymoon supposed to be without kids??:p

That sounds pretty epic to me, good that they survived but they witnessed stuff most of us only see on YouTube.
I saw a hurricane in Florida, best holiday ever :)

Premptive disaster tourism? Oh lord I hope they're not coming to Edinburgh for the next leg of the trip.

I generally find a disasterous trip to be sort of fun in hindsight, it forms a spirit of camaraderie. So for every cloud...

Well, with a 4 month trip, you're bound to run into some trouble.... factor in geography and it's almost expected.

Wait, this is GD... DEVIL CHILD!

I went on a 6 month trip around the world and did not have 1 natural disaster and i went to a lot of the places they did.

I dunno man, I've been alive in the UK for nearly 19 years and there's always bad stuff going on in the country! Oh no!

Wait a minute! The baby is 6 months old. There were 6 disasters. And sanaxe1 said he went on a 6 month trip!!!

666 people!!! The Beast is upon us!!! Somebody fill my bath with holy water and sacrafice all the first borns!

Good for you....?

What i was trying to point out is that while it is true the longer you go somewhere the more likely a natural disaster could happen. However you said its almost expected , like this is nothing out of the ordinary. I went to where they went for longer and did not have 1 natural disaster i also know a lot of other people who have not had any natural disasters happen when they were traveling never mind the amount this couple has. This is a very unique and 1 in a billion thing.
