I'm thinking along the same lines as Cuchulain, post #10. Perhaps get the health ombudsman involved. They're usually top of the complains chain.

don't think so, I think the equality act or something came in recently which stops all that.

All they can do is test her ability to do the job. Not even sure if they are allowed to ask your age now.

Think regular debilitating migraines will be classed as affecting essential tasks for most jobs, but the stroke side she wouldn't have to declare unless it was a physical job. As said big companies are best to apply for as they need to hit diversity and have enough staff to cover.
