What you reccon to a later 350, bear in mind im not racing anyone?

Yes but only if it allows a newer car for the budget, otherwise just get the 500. You want maximum effortless waft in a car like this.

Im gonna look into this tomorrow morning before i start the barbecue :)

That one doesn't have the panoramic roof or keyless go. Although you only have to worry about looking like a ***** using your keys (and children laughing at you), buying an SL without the pan roof would be daft. There's a reason it always comes up as the most regrettable option not ticked and why people attempt a retrofit. On a silver or light car, it has the added benefit of looking fantastic.

I already know you will probably say "no" to an SL55, although I do remember somebody about to tweak their CGT...the same reason you thought about that, you should apply to the SL55. The 350 is a joke, the 500 is good at what it's built to do but the SL55 takes it to it's obvious conclusion. It is still as comfortable as the 500, much quicker (and better looking), brakes are in a different league and it's actually chuckable should you so wish...but most importantly with an exhaust note that is one of the very best. It sort of makes sense to have something that sounds *that* good when you'll be driving with the roof down. If you want "maximum effortless waft" 500bhp and 515lb/ft fits the bill nicely.

That 6 series is starting to grow on me now, iv never driven a convertible, are they pretty much the same as a hard top?
