Cost of Painting a case

Thinking of getting the new Corsair 650D but tbh im not a huge fan of black cases

i usually buy silver/aluminium cases but corsair only do black so if i get one i will like to get it painted silver
before i get started i need to know what the average price will be

ive got no experience of painting or any kind of case modding so i will probably have to get someone to do it

what is the price range for something like this
if its more than £100 then ill probably pass

i would like mine similar (silver body and mesh front stays black)

You may be able to get it done for £100, it's probably worth emailing somewhere that does it for a quote.

Have a word with your local car spray place. I did this years ago when beige was the norm, they had a car in for spray and just did it for a few quid, though this was a decade ago or more

yeah, worth getting it done by pros, because it will cost you a fairly decent amount of time and money to get right.

However if you're after silver cases why not just buy a lian-li aluminium case?

If I had your tastes, I definately would.

Corsair 650D + £100 paintjob = bloody excellent quality anodized silver aluminium Lian Li + cash left over.

(Just looking through OCUK there aren't any silver cases but there's a couple of alternative retailers that have loads in stock).

ive been using my Silver TJ09 for 4 years now and while it looks nice its very noisy and cable management is a nightmare and it has various other "design flaws"

for the last 2 years i've been constantly on the lookout for a new silver aluminium case and tbh Lian Li do not have a case i like

The Silverstone FT02 looks good but im not a fan of the mobo orientation and it doesn't look like it could be water cooled either

The 650D is pretty much the perfect case for me
it "looks like" the classic CM ATCS 201 (very important) and it has good cable management and is suitable for water cooling

only problem is the colour but if painting it is too expensive or to much trouble but i guess i will just have to get used to black
