Hi guys,

My motherboard Asus P8P67 DELUXE B2 is causing me the cougar point problems and is getting very annoying. I've signed up to the exchange program on this website on the 20th March and even got the confirmation letter.

I was wondering if OCUK would replace my motherboard as it is experiencing the issues of loosing hard drives part way through a session, and sometimes just not picking up other hard drives. Or do I have to wait for Asus to contact me?

It was faulty in fact the same week I got it. It was refusing to pick up my new Vertex 2 hard drive after 5 days of flawless performance. I didn't know about the cougar point problems then, and put it down to a faulty hard drive. I was about to drive down from Blackpool to OCUK on a Saturday morning to make sure I had a working PC for that weekend.

For this last month now however, it's been loosing other connected SATA storage drives. Intel Rapid Storage thing sometimes crashes and I loose a drive from My Computer. Most of the time it even refuses to pick up one of the drives when I boot the PC and some of the times one other. It's getting very annoying.

Kind of annoyed at the idea of having to send back my motherboard and wait for the testing procedure and then waiting for a shipment. I was under the impression that the Swap Out thing would start on the 28th of March and that they would cross ship me a board. It's enough of a pain already that I will have to be taking my computer apart and putting it back together again.

I'll get sending a message to support @ OCUK asking for an RMA. This is irritating...

Edit: I've not phoned Asus yet. I work 9-6 every day and don't get a chance to ring them...
