Thanks didn't think I would be able to beat your time after earlier until I checked out your controller settings! LOL
I think that time is the best I can do with a PS3 controller, annoyingly though a couple of laps back I had quicker 1st and 2nd segments, but messed up on that frustrating last corner.

Yeah, the last chicane is a mare. If I could put all my best sector times together I'd break the minute barrier. From experience, the closer you get to your limit the more laps you need to shave a tenth here & there.

Buy the Works upgrade if you can - need to have bought 75% of all upgrades to unlock it.

Already done that, the car just feels so horrible... something like it being super twitchy which is not my thing, i will wait until the next one.
exactly the same here.. the back end seems to be feel "fishy" you know like a fish tail.. basically it wont stay in straight line i wrote it off during the "test" drive where you can win it.. and thought i won't be testing it ever again..
will be waiting for the next one too..

The next 2 weeks are going to be devoted to this game as I have neglected it since purchasing. Wont get anywhere near close, cos Im awful on the wheel at the moment. Hoping with practice I can be as good as I was on Forza 3, in the top hundreds on majority of tracks. But thats a tough ask so
I never got the chance to play Forza 3, but I was always in the top couple of hundred on Forza 2 on most of the tracks and comming to this game is totally different in terms of its handling model but with a practice adjustment just takes a little time.
I went to the purple shirt shop and got a thrustmaster universal challenge wheel which is all they had. Ive tried mounting it on my desk but it sits too low and I feel like a oap/bus driver when I'm using it.
Glad I didnt go for something more expensive now! My desk is staying I'll continue using a gamepad.

These times are looking hard to beat! I have not driven the Lotus apart from the 5 Lap race round Suzuka when you are loaned it and win one if you win the race!
Got a couple of hours this aft so gonna see if I can do a sub 1 minute lap!!
Can't see it happening but that's my goal!!

Little tip to get your best lap time (which helped me anyway) was to increase the gearing 2 notches to the right (towards higher top speed), and to have the rear of the car slightly higher than the front. Sure I changed something else too but I can't remember now without looking.
Also there's absolutely no way whatsoever (in my opinion) that you can break into a time under 1:01 without manual gears and assists turned off (not including ABS).

Ok, this is all I can manage today! I'm pooped.. I'm convinced that there is a sub 1 minute lap in this car but not from me today.
