MSI N580GTX Lightning & R6970 Lightning Review

thanks, ive been waiting for some reviews!

Its a shame they didn’t show some numbers in Heaven/metro, etc with the 6970 @ 1GHz+. I'd defiantly like to get one of these!!

Crikey, that 580 at 1ghz seems almost too good pass up on. This review sold it.
Looking at the 2560x1600 figures, would 2560x1440 be relatively close?
 
This has native hdmi output,is able to output 5.1 dts audio? techpower reveiws says the this does support hd audio,but i thought most 580 gtx didn't? confused.my current 5970 is doing my head in with high temps 90*c in some game fan at 47% duty,also changed driver 4/5 time so far due to recent bugs

reviewed fps look well skewed for all cards (including reference) compared to the anadtech reviews. And I can vouch the amd fps i get are WAY higher - i easily hit 60pf in metro with the 6950 cf's im running

It's strange. Many customers said their 580 Lightning can only do 930MHz no matter what voltage it is. The best I've seen so far is about 970MHz which is on par with the best reference cards.

I don't understand why OcUK even limit the amount of cards each customers can buy. I would personally not choose the 580 Lightning

Yeah I misread the review on the overclocking page I meant the Radeon 6970 at 1GHz. Does look like a nice card.

yea lukio since somewere last year when you log in in ocuk shop it changes VAT to Irish VAT even if shop is in UK i asked mods , but they didn't gave any solid answer on that. other competitors dont do that so might aswell look around ocuk not doing favors to hem self they basically going to loose whole ireland and ni customers.
