I've been wanting to get myself a straight razor for a while but I can't seem to find anywhere offline that sells them and the usual online places don't sell them shave ready (not confident I could hone one properly yet). Anyone know of somewhere that sells them for a reasonable price and likewise anywhere selling strops?

Im not surprised. For one thing a c12k is incredibly slow, what you do in 200 laps my 16k shapton ceramic glass stone will do in 20.
Bit of a price difference mind, an 8k naniwa superstone would be a good addition, just bear in mind it needs to be lapped flat first.

I got my Dovo shave ready from the invisible edge. Need to get it rehoned though as I can seem to get a good edge with my ***** Chinese hone
