You can pay us with: Cash, International wires, personal checks (U.S. banks), traveler’s checks and Credit Cards (ONLY TO PAY THE BALANCE IN QUITO):

*We accept: Visa, MasterCard and American Express. The interest is 4% extra over the regular price. The only way to pay with credit card is here in our office in Quito, You have to sign a voucher and I have to call our bank to verify the card details.

We DO NOT ACCEPT: Money Orders, Bank drafts, Personal checks from other than U.S. banks, or payments in other currencies rather than USD. Banks in Ecuador are very complicated, we apologize for the inconveniences

Ok, So where do i start? A quick google made me want cry :(

Any help please :)

presumably international wire is the only one of those which applies to you

Alternatively stick cash in a bottle, put the cork in, dump in the sea and hope for the best.

For an intl money transfer you will need to go into a branch with BIC and IBAN numbers. you can specify an amount in their currency which they will then receive in their currency and choose to pay the fees if you need to. It is not a free service.

Just my local Barclays or one of the 1000s of western unions i see in the city?

What kind of fees are we talking about?

Greetings,

I work for Western Union, please give me the name of the recipient and your bank account number and sort code and how much you would like to send and I will have this done for you as soon as possible, we usually charge a fee of £5 on values up to £100 but since you are a fellow forum member I can do it for free.

The amount is about $350 US.

Thanks for the offer Daniel but no offence but I don't know you. I'll stick to the official channels.

P.S. £5 seems very reasonable :) I sent 500 quid to india a while back and i remember paying about 40 quid! Maybe i'm wrong..
