Does anyone else find this disturbing?

Instead of putting your fingers in your ears, and ignoring it all; why do you not engage with your children on these issues and teach them right and wrong? By denying the existence, you're not making the 'problem' better or making it go away but you are infact making it worse.

I don't have children, I think it explains why I'm like this :)

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but chains and whips excite me.

She also deepthroats a banana in the song, extremely suggestively.

I think the censored version sounds better the line above anyway it sounds so much better without the Chains and Whips line as it's coverd up with the scratchin sound, so much better than a beep or no sound or even the lyric........
does anyone agree?

Generally because it is done by people with reputations though.

in which case it is not art that has the standard, its snobbery thinking that someone with reputation can have anything classed as a fantastic example of art.

I had the same rage I think when I first heard Britney Spears Hit me baby I remember switching off the radio and being irritated with the fact that it promoted domestic violence LOL :)

So if I said I'd "hit that" about/to you, would you think I meant I wanted to physically abuse you? :D

They'd probably see it on youtube before the TV anyway.
No need to worry about a huge OFCOM fine if your stuff is on youtube, so you can get away with far more...

In fact I was pretty shocked to see Skepta's video called 'All Over the House'...

It's pretty much straight up porn in a music video...

Hearing girls under the age if 12 near by or walking past singing along to sexually explicit songs especially ones by Rihanna?

Does anyone else find this totally wrong or am I being very prudish and it's OK for little gilrs to dress like slappers walking down the street singing along to 'come on rude boy can you get it up?'

I find it disturbing and rather sad that children are not being bought up by their Parents to have some self respect and actually be children.

'Everyone wants to 'If you seek Amy'' (by Brittany Spears).

Sang out loud time and time again by my 5 year old neice as she wandered around the house oblivious to what she was saying ...

lol! just went to youtube to watch this, couldn't find it - so typed it in on google and found the video - and it is just a hardcore porn video lol why would he want that as the video to his song?!

Meh, i was singing "I want to sex you up" at 9, i understood what the song was about as well. Madonna was now stranger to the more suggestive music videos either.

Not much has really changed in the last 20 years, your just getting more wise to these subjects. ;)

I think you are right. Its just a case that now the OP has grown up she can see the lyrics in a different light. It was no different years ago.

I don't know if this is a good comparison or not, but when I was 12/13 back in 1991, I was into Altern8 and rave in general. Lyrics often related to drugs like "injected with a poison" but I never did drugs.

This is pretty much the closest you could get to the original with on youtube:

:D

As for why did Skepta make such a dodgy song and video? Well I'm getting it's a publicity stunt, especially as both the song and video are pretty awful IMO...

^

Altern8 = you legend :D

I remember when i was younger and i was singing, "I'm honey - honey honey honey", as I rather liked winnie the pooh at the time and thought that was what they were saying. Got told off at the time and couldn't work out why :S Only found out years later, that honey was actually horny :p

Ahhhhh, "honey honey honey! I thought it was that too but because I misheard it (my hearing's not too good).

Mark Morrison did a song called Horny as well and the kids at school sung that too.
