All iPhone 5 speculation/rumours/wants thread

What do new iPhone's go on for sim-free on pre order? I remember seeing them go for £800-1000 on eBay shortly after release last year. I am tempted to jump over to the iPhone this time around but if I could make a tidy profit at a cost of only waiting a few months longer after release - why not :).
 
the iPhone 5 will be amazing whatever happens, Don't think its worth upgrading over an iPhone 4 though.

@xibinim - i remmember that! going for double the RRP! ahaha
 
Mine cost me £599 on launch day, absolutely crazy when I think about it lol. I expect the iPhone 5 to cost similar and if the screen size is slightly bigger I may look to upgrade. Hopefully I can get around £500 for mine *wishful thinking*
 
eBay have some stricter policies regarding selling them but by the looks of it only for people who want to sell a fair few. They seem to depreciate at a much slower rate than other phones - I think I will pre order one. How far in advance can you pre order one if it were to be on sale at the end of June?

Id be very impressed if you do - Im thinking anything near £400 would be good...

I'm looking forward to it, my upgrade is due at the end of June so if Apple release it in the summer like they have done with every other iPhone then I will pick one up.
 
Cant wait to finally upgrade my 3g, since they released the Iphone 4 software to 3g it completley ruined it, all apps take forever to do anything!

However i'm not so sure that ill get my hands on one as i reckon there will be a lot of supply/demand issues this time round.
 
If it is 'only' basically a 4Gs I'm probably going to look elseware come upgrade time. I was looking forward to a bigger screen and a new design (metal back etc).

Getting more and more tempted by Windows phones tbh as I really like the UI, shame the specs of the current and near-future W7 phones isn't brilliant :(

Go android tbh. Iphone is a big waste of money, like most apple stuff. I know someone who worked as a tester for Apple just before the last iphone come out, it was pretty much bodged on the last minute which is why is has so many problems.

LOL.

I like the iPhone a lot, it's without doubt the best phone I've owned. I'm just getting a little bored of it now. If the iPhone 5 has a 4" screen and a 'fresh' new look then it'll definitely be my next phone if the rumoured specs are correct (which they probably are), it'll also be interaseting to see what iOS 5 brings. But if it's basically the same as the current phone but with a speed boost and a few tweaks then I will look elsewhere.

I recon the 4GS with some tweaks and iOS 5 is all that we are going to get.

Dual core, same or slightly larger screen, maybe 1Gb memory but probably not, better GPU, better battery life.

Personally, I'm currently looking for a new/in warranty iP4 from somewhere to replace my 3GS.

I just downgraded to iOS 3.1.3 and it works how it should. Some apps you need iOS 4 for, but tbh the main ones I use are Last.fm and Sky Sports Football which work perfectly in 3.1.3

Was it easy to downgrade? Did you lose anything? How did you get the 3.1.3 file?
 
If Apple do only have a mini refresh planned then it could be a bit of a disaster for then. There are so many well specced android phones out this summer. Especially the Samsung galaxy S2. Maybe thats why Apple are suing them
 
removeable battery would be good or better battery life. just read about the soon to be release of the iphone 4 white, so seems a bit strange why now when we are expecting the iphone 5?
